This is the amount of money you pay to the approved childcare provider for them to look after your child or children. You will need to take an average of your payments, and enter the average weekly amount.
Note 1 - When working out your average weekly childcare costs please round up to the nearest pound. For example, if the average weekly amount is £15.96, round up the amount to £16.00.
Note 2 - If you receive the child care element of Working Tax Credit, this will always be paid alongside payments of Child Tax Credit, direct to the person who is mainly responsible for caring for the child or children. It does not have to be paid to the person who receives Working Tax Credit. It will be paid weekly or 4-weekly, depending on how often you have chosen to receive payments of Child Tax Credit.
